Why biofuels could be bad for the world and for your wallet

Climate change could send corn prices spiralling even higher than previously expected, according to a study published this week in the journal Nature Climate Change.

The study found that corn prices turn out to be much more sensitive to climate change over the next three decades than other factors previously blamed for volatility, such as oil prices, trade policies and government energy policies promoting biofuels.
