Modern Monetary Mechanics is an aggregator site written and edited by an anonymous blogger who uses pseudonym Senexx. Senexx is a strong proponent of Modern Monetary Theory, a (MMT), a theory under which government deficits are largely irrelevant since the government is self-funding and can never run out of money. Senexx's goal is to gather all the best writing and blogs about Modern Monetary Theory and Chartalism, and he is determined that the site should become an "education centre for economic truths".

What inspired you to first start blogging?

In a complex yet seeming linear process of following the Australian blogs Club Troppo that led to Peter Martin that in turn led to Bill Mitchell is ultimately what inspired my blogging.  Additionally I had been unemployed for a great length of time and Mitchell's writing not only made intuitive sense but has impeccable logic.

What's your most controversial blog post?

Perhaps one of the few that I actually wrote myself about Say's Law;  It still manages to amuse me as many of the comments on that post are from someone strongly of the Austrian persuasion – I do not recall if I engaged them or not but if I did it was not for long as it would have lead to circular reasoning that just proves the point of the post.
