FTSE 100 up as week starts on a positive note

Other European bourses were also starting the week on a positive note.

The German DAX was up 0.12% at 5,486 and the French CAC up 1.11% at 3,051.

Share-dealing and news website iii.co.uk was reporting that Petrofac (PFC) was one of the day's risers, it got off to a flying start as the company's interim results showed revenue increasing by more than 25% to $2.711 billion (£1.64 billion).
