The name Alan Miller might ring a few distant bells with you. He was the man you probably remember who hit the headlines five and a half years ago when he was required by the Court of Appeal to hand over £5 million to his wife Melissa after just two and three quarter years of unsatisfactory marriage – a divorce settlement equivalent to £4,935 for every day of marriage.
Yet I remember Miller for altogether different reasons.
